Plot[]
Babar, Zephir, and Arthur are getting ready to leave while Flora, Pom, Alexander, and Victor drink milkshakes at Zephir's malt shop, they tell Victor that the three of them are looking for a treasure Cornelius buried when they were kids. Cornelius wishes them well, even if they don't find it the three are confident they'll have fun nonetheless. After hearing the story, this interests Victor on telling his dad Lord Rataxes about it. This leads to Rataxes and Basil joining Babar on the treasure hunt. While hiking, Zephir, Arthur, and Babar recall when they were boys back when they first looked for the treasure. Zephir says what he misses about being a kid is all the practical jokes he used to play on everyone, but Arthur begs to differ, and they recall on the pranks he used to pull, especially when he was supposed to guard the peanut patch but made a false alarm. Zephir says that he thought it was funny and the only thing funnier is the fact that they walked into Mucky swamp. He laughs so hard he falls off Babar's bag and into the Swamp, which Arthur and Babar laugh at. Zephir then points out that he wasn't the only who pulled pranks, Babar pranked Zephir with a rhino costume, and while the plan did work, it backfired after the real rhinos showed up and destroyed the whole patch. Arthur says that he thought Pompadour was gonna flip his wig. Soon enough they reach Rocky Ridge, Rataxes and Basil are not far behind and recalls when they were getting the Weeping Wonder-bird feather.
Suddenly Babar remembers that the path is blocked off, which is why Zephir never lead them in the first place. Arthur and Zephir remind Babar he was the one who got them out of these situations, so they jumped to a tree but due to the extra weight, Babar loses his backpack which sends them flying. They also remember when they got the Wonder bird but also the fact Rataxes saved them. Soon the three friends come across one of the traps Arthur set up and are caught in it. While Zephir sarcastically thanks Arthur for it, he tells Zephir he has been in worst positions than this, Zephir and Babar then recall when sailed on the sea and met Conga the Terrible who was civil. Seconds later, Rataxes and Basil drop in and get the three out of the net, which is surprising. When asking why he is out there, Rataxes admits that he knows about the treasure and is going to beat them to it but Zephir says he won't. Rataxes just jokes that he could send Zephir to the Moon but he points out that Rataxes already tried that. He recalls that he made Zephir the offer of a lifetime to go there, but Zephir remembers it differently as he was tied up and was saved by Babar and Arthur as moon men by "trading" the moon for Zephir which Rataxes accepted. Zephir laughs at how easily fooled Rataxes was, but he is only shocked to hear that he was tricked and he doesn't own the moon. Babar tries to calm him down and assure him it was a long time ago. However Rataxes takes the map and goes down the path with Basil but Babar, Arthur and Zephir chase after them. After splitting up Babar manages to catch Rataxes but they land in one of Arthur's traps and are suspended over a dark hole. Rataxes fears that this is the end, but Babar reminds Rataxes that this is not the first time they were in danger, he remembers when The hunter and his men tried to burn down the forest to kill the animals. However the animal kingdoms all came together to save the jungle and they managed to burn down the hunter's fort and he was never seen again. Babar admits that if it wasn't for each other they never would have made it, Rataxes even admits that he doesn't mind being beaten by Babar and he feels the same about Rataxes.
Suddenly the ropes snap and they slide down, after reaching the bottom, they find the treasure. Basil, Zephir and Arthur come down and help open the treasure which surprises Rataxes. At the malt shop, it is discovered that treasure is lots of toys and games which the Triplets and Victor are amazed at. When Rataxes questions the treasures content, Cornelius explained he buried the treasure back when the three were boys. Babar assures Cornelius that the treasure is actually happy memories and they are glad they found it now. While Zephir thinks Rataxes is crying he reveals he was actually laughing remembering Babar in his moon man costume. Babar and Arthur respond in their moon men speaking voice "Moon men never kid!" They all start to laugh about those times. Celeste tells Cornelius it's a good thing they found the treasure now, he agrees as memories are the real treasure.
