Conga the Terrible is the 12th episode of season 2 and the 25th episode of the series overall
Plot[]
When the children say that Cornelius is getting to old to play with them, Babar tells them about the time Cornelius was told he was too old for something.
Summary[]
One beautiful day, Cornelius is relaxing in the garden when the children, who are playing hide and seek run into Cornelius. The triplets are playing Hide and Seek and are chasing each other. Pom runs into Cornelius and the two get to the base. Pom insists that it was because he accidentally bumped into Cornelius that he didn't reach the base in time but Flora says that the rule book states that Cornelius is an obstacle. Pom says Cornelius probably doesn’t remember how to play, but he tells the children that he was once a hide and seek master and he could show them how a real seeker seeks. The children all run and hide as Cornelius starts counting. They run into Babar and say that they are playing hide and seek with Cornelius but they secretly think he is too old. Babar tells them that they should never underestimate someone because of their age, especially Cornelius.
He tells them about the time his age was toyed with, many years ago when Babar was a boy the city had just completed the construction of a brand new ship The Celesteville Clipper and they were on its maiden voyage. Onboard the ship with Babar was Pompadour, Zephir, Cornelius and Troupadour, when Pompadour calls all hands on deck, Babar asks if everyone is ready to get to work, everyone agrees. Both Zephir and Tropadour are put to work, Cornelius who is feeling a little sea sick also wants to help, despite Babar's assurance that he should rest.
