Summary[]
Babar recalls when he first met his old friend from the city, Marti and his friends but he was being pressured to do something he didn't want to do and was stuck between doing what the boys were doing and what was right.
Plot[]
One day Babar was trying to change Isabelle when Madame comes in and helps him. She also has something for Babar, it's a letter from his old friend in the city Artie. Babar then recalls the day they met, Babar was with Madame in the kitchen who was trying to make a cake. Babar was trying to help but Madame but she told him he should go play with his friends but Babar says he has no friends. After causing a mess in the kitchen and sneezing, Babar went out to look for someone to play with. He soon saves someone from a dog, the boy is Marti and after being impressed with Babar's quick save, takes him back to the clubhouse. There Babar meets the other members who gladly welcome him in except for one, the club's leader Jean-Claude. While not so impressed with Babar's rescuing of Marti, agrees to let Babar join, only if he passes the tests.
