Plot[]
One night Celeste and Babar are sleeping and he was practicing for a speech for his anniversary as King of Celesteville. Isabelle wakes up crying as she is still not feeling well. Babar almost goes to check on her but falls back asleep, so Celeste goes to check on her. Unfortunately, Celeste was up all night with her that by the time she goes back to bed, it is already dawn. Flora and Alexander wake up excitedly, Pom on the other hand is still tired, but Flora wakes him up with her camera. They try to be quiet so to not wake up their parents, but with them still asleep the triplets decide to make their own breakfast. Babar than wakes up so he can cook and to make up for Celeste staying up with Isabelle, so he lets her sleep in while he looks after the children's breakfast.
After Flora shows some pictures she took, the triplets have came up with an idea of writing a newspaper called "The Celesteville Enquirer". Flora will be the photographer and editor, Pom decides to be the reporter while Alexander will be the paperboy. They can look for any story for their paper but it has to be real and not made up, Babar explains that they need to report the truth. They set up a station but they realize they are just sitting around, they need to go out and investigate like the reporters outside are doing. While most of what the real reporters are reporting on is not interesting, Babar's advisors are discussing the upcoming events such as the new ribbon factory and Babar's speech, the triplets realize they can do a story on what happens in the palace. Flora decides to take pictures all over the palace that are quite humorous and silly from Cornelius, Pompadour, Celeste, and even Babar. When Cornelius and Pompadour find out about it, they worry, and tell Babar and Celeste. Babar then decides to talk to Flora and the next day decides to let Flora decide what to do, and Flora decides to publish it.
The triplets send out flyers of an expose which tells everyone the paper will release its first edition, first thing tomorrow morning. Cornelius and Pompadour worry what will happen to their reputations if Flora publishes the paper and how embarrassing they look. Babar tells them he is letting Flora decide what to do, this worries the two even more. Soon enough several exposes which were caught in the wind come to the palace and Cornelius and Pompadour are really worried especially when reporters come to the Palace to talk to them about the expose. Later that day, rather than confronting Flora Babar asks her if she has really captured all of the Palace Life. That night, Flora still thinks about what her father told her. After taking a look around the palace and taking more pictures, the paper is ready. The next morning, the triplets deliver the papers around town. Everyone sees the paper and they are very impressed, even the reporters at the Chronicle are intrigued. Everyone at the palace finds out that Flora did take more pictures, but she included many with the more dignitive side as well, showing that the palace is hard working, and not just being silly. Everyone is proud of the triplets work and Troubadour hugs the children. With the first edition being a success, they are off to work on their next story but the staff is still worried about what their next edition will be and if it will be embarrassing.
