The Coin is the 8th episode of season 3 and the 34th episode of the series. It originally aired on May 20, 1990.
Summary[]
A long time ago when a disease had infected Celesteville and a group of pirates gave them supplies and medicine, in return for their assistance Babar is given a coin that is divided into three and to whoever returns a piece of the coin, Babar must grant their heart's desire. One person has found the coin and his wish is granted. Things become intense when Rataxes has a piece of the coin which he cheated to get in a game, Babar's kingdom could be in jeopardy.
Plot[]
One stormy night someone comes into the palace and Babar and his staff realize that they found something. As it turns out, many years ago, a disease had infected many people in Celesteville and a group of pirates came to aid the kingdom. The kingdom was given a coin split into three pieces, when someone managed to find a piece and return it Babar would grant them their wish.

- This is one of the two times Cornelius doesn't let Pompadour in on his secret.
