Summary[]
While on a trip at the lake, Flora and Babar team up to catch a fish called Blacktail, but Flora does not seem to be of much help.
Plot[]
The family is getting ready for their day trip to the lake to go fishing, Pom and Alexander have a well prepared tackle box which Flora is impressed with. Babar is determined to catch one fish up at the lake, it's a big fish called Black tail and he has been trying for years to catch it. When they arrive at the lake Cornelius and Pompadour get in a boat Pom and Alexander team up while Celeste and Isabelle decide to relax on the shore. Wanting to try fishing herself, Flora goes out with her dad Babar in a quiet fishing spot where they can catch some really good fish, but every time Babar gets a bite, Flora accidentally makes him lose the fish he catches and she thinks he's mad at her which he's not but he understands she didn't mean to even though he looks a little bit depressed, she begins to cry knowing that he's hiding his anger on her while feeling bad herself for her mistake. Pom and Alexander are having a little difficulty catching fish due to issues with their bait and line while Pompadour tries to use orderves for his bait but ends up attracting flies and Cornelius is rowing instead of Pompadour who is being too proud.
At lunch everyone discusses how their fishing is going and when Babar tells them they haven't gotten anything yet but they plan to, the brothers glare at Flora. Babar is ready to go back out on the lake but Flora decides not to go out with him again because of earlier on by making him lose old black tail, but he explains to her that he's never given up, because it doesn't matter what happens even for mistakes, Babar is always in a better mood to keep trying, and Flora officially decides that she's going out with him again so she can do the same thing. Back on land, Celeste and Isabelle are enjoying nature when soon enough Isabelle wants to fish herself and uses a flower for bait. She catches a big fish and she and her mother decide to fish some more. Pom and Alexander are still fishing but have some unusual luck with their fishing line, with one line being pulled and the other one loose. Babar and Flora continue to fish, he does catch Black tail but lets him go to help Flora catch her fish. Even though he lost Blacktail, he is so proud that Flora caught a fish herself. Afterwards everyone shows their fish, while things didn't go as they planned Pom and Alexander did catch some fish, Pompadour also caught a fish of high quality, Isabelle caught a big fish herself, and when Flora shows her fish, her brothers are in amazement that she caught a fish.

- Flora thinks Babar is mad at her for making him lose his chance of being this close to catching fish, but he tells her that it's okay, except she still cries about it anyway because to herself, it's not okay because she knows that he's hiding his frustration on her.
- Isabelle is a good fisher, seeing that she caught a fish on her first try.
