Winifred is a lonely old lady living alone outside in the dark forest across the gorge with her cat.
Biography[]
Winifred enjoys her independence even though it gets kind of lonely in the wild. Alexander thinks she's a witch which she finds offensive, but Victor explains to Pom and Alexander about a real witch living in the dark forest across the gorge where he takes them with him to meet her, while Flora follows them even though they're not supposed to be going across the gorge. Pom is always mentioning that there's no such thing as witches as to whether or not he meets her. They find Winifred's house and peek through her window seeing what she's doing, but with her cat scaring them, the kids mess up her yard before she opens her door seeing what's going on, but she scares them and gets away with leaving her yard a mess, but on their way home, Flora runs into the tall grass where she gets bitten by a snake with the cause of a purple night shadow making her unconscious. Alexander is worried that Flora is dying, so he doesn't have a choice going back to Winifred's house to save her. Winifred is mad seeing Alexander back at her house after the mischief he's caused destroying her woodpile, her wishing well, her fence, and calling her a witch, but he tells her his emergency that his sister Flora is sick and is hoping to make a magic potion for her cure, he doesn't even care about Winifred turning him into a frog or anything, he just wants her to help his sister begging for his emergency, she gets concerned about his sister. Winifred is the only one that can help so she asks Alexander what's wrong with his sister, he explains she was with us and got bitten by a snake, she asks what kind of snake, he replies that it was a purple night shadow, she reacts surprised and tells him to follow her as they don't have time. Alexander explains that Winifred can fix Flora from dying so that she can live again, Winifred says that the herbs and roots got natural healing power, then she makes a poultice for her wound, then there's nothing else she can do except wait, but after a while, Flora wakes up. The kids owe Winifred an apology by making it up to her fixing her yard and cleaning it up. Alexander even apologizes to Winifred for calling her a witch and instead calls her nice, and she very much appreciates that, she has also been invited over for lunch on Saturday where she can't miss that for the world, so everyone leaves and says goodbye her, then once again thanks her for all her help. Winifred says goodbye back and hugs her cat.

- Even though Winifred's not a witch, she still somehow has magic stuff, including a pot she makes soup and potions out of.
